Vision Plans
The conceptual plans shown here depict an aspiration for future park development in the Shoal Creek Parks based on community feedback, site conditions, accepted industry best practices, and applicable regulations and standards.
It is important to note that a vision plan is not a promise, nor a mandate. It is meant to be a community tool for fundraising and advocacy for phased development of the park.

The plans reflect the following Guiding Principles:

Provide a safe, inclusive, and beautiful public space for outdoor recreation, quiet time in nature, and community gathering

Partner with park rangers and community groups to develop culturally relevant programs and nurture a welcoming place for all

Prioritize trail connections and well-marked entrances to provide safe access, visibility, and connectivity for residents and visitors.

Promote maintenance practices and community involvement that will enhance natural ecosystems, control invasive plants, and maximize usable park space.
